This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Doreen Christina-Marie Baker who was born in Canada Alert Bay BC on September 2, 1984 and passed away on April 23, 2005 in Victoria bc. Doreen is survived by her mother Denise Baker Mary Joseph Karen Joseph Brother Erik  oka and Danial Joseph. also Her daddy-pooh Abbott Hunt who raised her.Also byolagical father Larry Joseph. Doreen comes from a great lineage of chiefs. Henery Speck of Lawitsis Ma'amtagila. Cheif Billy Joseph of Da'nax'daxw , she was also connected to many Kwakwaka'wakw tribes and had a strong lineage through the Squamish and snuneymuxw First Nation's Doreen has a strong love for her culture. she wants told her mom, I don't stand on the fence mom ... I'm strong and proud in both of my cultrue two years ago Doreen became a winter ceremonyal dancer from her coast salish side from  her mother. she was also initiated 'Na'nalalat dancer from her uncle Jack Nolie on her dads side. Doreen had dreams to be come a mother which she was two months when she left us. one of Dors Dreams was to have a bussness with her two younger sisterhere in alert Bay. she was a christen loved the lord with all her heart. Died by a Drunk driver her boy friend Andrew charles  who decided to drink and take my babys life.after four years of court all he got was Three years. this is sad cause this is what our childs life is valued at.
